Fund Raising

Kristi from You Name It Sports presented ideas for fund raising – You Name It Sports is a local company that produces a monthly magazine, calendars and advertising
- Magazine Sales
  - At home games – cover price is $3, for each magazine sold, we keep $1.50
  - Subscription sales – full year subscriptions are $25, we keep $5 for each sold
- Calendars
  - Cost of calendars are $20 each, for each sold, we keep $4
- Advertising
  - For each ad you sell, 20% will be donated back to FOIF
  - If we maintain the ad every month, we get 20% per month
  - If YNIS maintain the ad, we only receive the 20% for the first month only
  - Pricing handout passed out
- Subscription base is approx 100
- In business for 2 years – prepares 10 issues (Sept – June)
Question was asked about You Name It Sports about producing our program – Kristi did not know that cost
Question was asked about creating an insert inside the You Name It Sports that would replace our program – this would be possible
You Name It Sports could be available to take pictures during games that could be ordered for larger prints
All ads are priced upon 4 colors
Need to discuss this further at a FOIF Board Meeting

Discussed the idea to put together packages that could be sold that includes a number of things (i.e. game tickets, parking pass, 2 t-shirts and caps, etc.) for a single fee

Committees

Group discussed that we need to get committees organized to start planning events

Misc

Discussed ideas of how to reach out to the incoming freshman parents to get them involved in FOIF. i.e. – Flyer, Chiddix and Kingsley newsletter.
Board needs to meet soon to set direction for 2005
