Committee Reports
Clothing – Robin Vandermay
We did have a good response from 1st order. Equipment bags are not yet in, pullovers are coming in, and we are doing a 2nd clothing sale this week during camp. We will have a limited amount of clothing for sale during the scrimmage. A motion to purchase and sell 250 orange and black poms at the Orange/Black Scrimmage to sell for $1.00 was approved.Communications and Technology – Eric Sadlo reporting for Mike Cross
2004 pictures will soon be deleted from the website to allow site space for 2005 pictures and information. All players from last year received a CD of pictures so anyone that wants them should have them by now.Concessions – Linda Price
Starting to organize for frosh/soph games. Still don’t know if we have been selected for a varsity game. Ron has checked with Dr. Nuckolls and the selection process is still going on due to the merger of the Spirit Club and the PTO. We are still in the running for a varsity opportunity.End Zone Advertising - David Cobb
Several have been sold. Our goal is to sell 20. All documentation has been presented to Bobbie Monroe at NCWHS so that they have the same opportunity to sell end zone advertising. We are still looking for volunteers to hang and remove the banners before and after games.Fund raising – Diane Nagy
We made over $620 during our most recent bagging day at Jewel on College Avenue. That brings our 2 day total to approximately $1200. Greg Rodriguez has volunteered to organize volunteers for the 50/50 raffles to be held during the Orange/Black scrimmage as well as the varsity home games.Game Program – Ray Rapp
Business ad sales are needed as well as parent ads. Sell to businesses and acquaintances – get ad sales forms from Ray. August 5 is the last date for ad sales. We will need an internet mail push to sell ads for the program when Mike Cross returns from vacation.Orange/Black scrimmage - Eric Sadlo
Scrimmage preparations continue. We have secured the BBQ grill “Big Iron” for use during the event. An event flyer and website information are being produced.Tailgating/reserved parking - Eric Sadlo
Plans are in place to sell passes during the Orange/Black scrimmage.Team food - Greg Rodriguez
Volunteers are needed as Greg’s time will be limited this fall. Ron Dierkes has volunteered to help with food pickup on away game days for the varsity. Other volunteers are needed
New Business
Loan repayment/Coach V. repayment
Discussion centered on our budget, and the outstanding loan amount for the sprinkler system. Coach Venerable’s purchase of the weight room recognition board was also discussed. It was decided that we do have the money in our account with receipts coming in, so we can afford to pay the Lynch family the $3000 still owed on the sprinkler system loan, and to pay Coach Venerable the $1000 that he paid personally for the weight room board. A motion and 2nd followed. The checks were written and are being distributed.
