Committee Reports
Treasurer – Balance of $3500 after paying $600 to NCHS Technology Club for DVD sales. $1500 State Farm Foundation Grant expected shortly.
Team Food – Diane has been
contacting local restaurants. Longhorn
Smokehouse has agreed to provide one meal.
We have received gift cards from some other establishments. We will check with Mr. Lutes regarding using
Fund Raising – We will not be pursuing game sponsorships. School administration was not comfortable with the approach. Need now to proceed with banner sales and touchdown club. Dave Osnowitz, Eric Sadlo, and Gary Price will finish preparing explanatory brochures for businesses and for individuals.
Concessions – We will request the first game’s concession from Spirit Club. As always we will need volunteers.
Fields – Checking with AD Turner regarding Game Field Stencil. We are also pursuing Scoreboard signage commemorating playoff run(s).
Old Business
We are finalizing the April workday. We will need around 20 players. We will provide snacks for players who participate. We will use the Jimmy John’s donation for the snacks.
Dave Osnowitz and Eric Sadlo will continue efforts to design a FOIF Logo.
New Business
Approved payment of bill submitted by Coach Venerable for State Runner-Up patches.
It was recommended that we pursue liaisons with band and cheerleader parents.
We will check with school administration about putting our meetings on school calendar.
We will check with Coach Venerable regarding orientation meetings and the possibility of putting names on jerseys.
